not so dazed and confused

I only ever owned one pair of drainpipe (or 'skinny') jeans until they became so popular because I'm just not a jeans person. Around two years ago I bought the best pair of high waisted corset jeans from Mango that fit like a dream on the waist. I wore them so much they just bit the dust, possibly to do with my dodgy stitching to take the legs in. Whenever I come across them in my wardrobe I look longingly, wishing I was skinny enough to wear them again and they could magically be as pristine as the day they were bought! I've looked at other pairs but to no avail. I loved strutting round in them!

So today I half heartedly browsed the Mango sale with no expectations as I've never bought anything but the jeans and a belt from there, and what did I come across: the most perfect pair of jeans! I let out a little gasp and a girl next to me looked over like I was an absolute freak haha. They are almost exactly the same as before but they have little pockets on the corset part like Miss Sixty pairs (and no, I never got my money back for the ones that came with a rip... £60 down the drain there...). I'll need to take the legs in again but never did I think I'd find those jeans again! High waisted stuff is good on um bootylicious people like me!

I also tried on a super cool high waisted pair of flared jeans and they totally fulfil my Dazed and Confused dream! Don't confuse the film with the magazine, it's set in one day of 70's suburbia where high schoolers haze the new kids and then have a huge party, basically! All the girls wear super tight jeans with floral shirts or ruffled smocks and the guys wear flares and retro shirts.

One of my favourite clips is just a little scene where a friend uses a coat hanger to zip up a girl's jeans while she's lying down because they're so tight. Now that's my kinda jeans! Sadly the pair I picked up are just too tight but I'm content with just the other pair of perfection. I'll show you those soon!

Oh my! Those jeans are absolutely stunning! I wonder what the Aus equivalent of Mango is.....time to do some research...great find

Love.

-exception.

oh, those pants are amazing on you! i'm jealous!

Those jeans are amazing! I'm a big fan of the high-waisted look too, especially since it elongates my stubby legs!

don't you just love walking into a store with no expectations whatsoever and come out with the most amazing find? that happens to me everytime i step into mango because i tell myself i'm just wasting some time here and i never find anything in this store... but then i'm occasionally surprised

I love how the jeans totally elongates the body. They are super flattering.

great rnviable pants.
*sigh* wish I had the small upper body so I could wear loose fitting things and not look fat!!

I only buy jeans from Mango, they fit to perfection in the waist!

I love how they look on you especially with the gray top!

i've been looking for some high waisted skinny jeans. no luck yet. Wow! those jeans were made for you.

Love the pants!

They look amazing on you!!

ahh the only Mango I can of is in Dublin :( The sales in my small town are awful. We have no good shops aside from River Island & Oasis. We have a Jane Norman, like i'd be caught dead in there.
Those jeans look amazing on you, I really like the 70s vibe.

Oh wow, they look so perfect on you!
Why you didn't get your 60£ back???

Fabulous!

Omg, I adore this film and can watch it over and over! Great jeans! xx

woah! those jeans are so like the D&C jeans! great work here. I always hated that scene, looks so painful - lol!
