heart tights, unicorn ring, love grips, fur hat.
I'd love a Topshop splurge right now, I've discovered the joys of really great accessories. I'm not shy to wear things a million times so once you happen upon a belt or necklace that you really love, it's nice to buy something you get loads of wear out of. Realistically how many things do you buy that you get 100%, 90%, even 50% wear out of before it officially can be deemed worn and used?
It's kind of annoying that I found a (faux) fur hat in a charity shop last year but it's at home. Damn postal strike! I have a furry bag somewhere in Royal Mail limbo which I was hoping to arrive before this weekend but it's more anticipation. I'm going on a 'love boat' to Tallinn in Estonia on Sunday, where you travel/party overnight, spend the day in the chosen city, and then travel/party back overnight. Last time I heard the stormy seas meant there was a whole new level of sea-sickness when alcohol was involved. It will probably be full of divorced men anyway!
I wasn't going to go early but I was counted in a group booking for a hostel weekend in Stockholm before. The boat sets off from there and I was just going to head there on Sunday nice and fresh but hey ho, I can stuck up my diva needs for one weekend. I have a list of Stockholm shops to visit approximately this long:
Might have to make a map! Any Estonian readers out there? I told my friends I was going to go off on a shopping adventure on Saturday and they were like huh, you don't want to sight-see? I felt quite ridiculous saying I'd rather shop, but really shopping in a famous city is like sight seeing. It's not like I'm actually on the hunt to spend, more like explore, plus I think I'd get more from going to Acne than seeing a boat museum?? I don't know, just trying to be realistic here. But can you always shun classic history for fashion?
Speaking of shunning fashion, the weather forecast states nothing higher than 2 degrees. I guess it's hair and makeup all the way because I'll be in black and more black! I just walked home from a date in the snow! I am an Autumn/Winter lover so bring on the cold I say. But not when I'm in heels! I just looked at a map and Estonia is practically Russia. I wish I'd brought that fur hat!!

You're quite the globe-trotter! Enjoy!

Tallinn is a beautiful city - especially in winter. I'd take the time to wander round, drink some great hot chocolates, and eat some brilliant cheap food. There's a pizza place just off the main square which is cheap and good and attached to a brewery. (http://www.beerhouse.ee/)
But yeah - I've been to Tallinn twice, don't remember seeing any nice clothes shops (although didn't leave the old town) but did have magical, fairytale times. (At least in winter when it was covered in snow and not full of loud tourists)

I got those heart print tights! they are actually quite sturdy, as normally I wreck anything less than 80 denier on a 2 wear basis, but those lasted 4 (!) nights out so far.
and hehe, enjoy the Stockholmd shops.

lol you better not tell any Estonians that their country is practically Russia, they probably wouldn't be too pleased!
anyway, Sandra's (niotillfem) Stockholm guide is really great, the vintage shops she recommends are awesome.

hello, i'm from Tallinn, Estonia. What a surprise that you're coming here. Yes, you most probably don't want to say that Estonia is practically Russia, however kindly you mean that :) People aren't going to forget the Soviet occupation any time soon, if ever (well, this topic could take hours, so moving on).
You'll probably find the Old Town and the most popular central mall (Viru Keskus) without any help, as they are quite close to the port. Don't know what else you'd be interested in :)
It is quite cold here now and we had the first snow today, but not much.

Wow, you've been so good with updating your posts over the last few days! Have fun on that boat, it sounds amazing and you'll have a crazy time. I totally GET what you mean about shopping and sights! Haha. Best part right???!
Love the little snippet about your date! Can't believe it's snowing there! It was pouring down with rain today, typical of bonfire night celebrations right?

Great Topshop picks, especially the tights!
And I agree about sightseeing and shopping too - it's nice to do a bit of both, but I think you get to see more interesting things when you're wandering around the shops than you do when you're stuck in all the tourist traps. Have a great trip!
I've been a fan of your blog for ages and have just started my own. Hope you can take a look.

Well, we have snow here, but for tomorrow (Sunday), the forecast promises above-0 Celsius weather with occasional sunshine even, so it mightn't be too bad - entirely survivable without a fur hat. :D
The best thing about Tallinn from a 1-day tourist's point of view is probably that it is so small - you can get a taste of both sightseeing (the Old Town) and shopping (you'll probably be heading to the Viru Centre)!

Have fun shopping, I'm going to try and make the most of Topshop now as I'm moving to New York (and resent paying not only full price, but a dodgily converted price). I've just been on the Monki site, there's so much I want from there, I hope they get sensible and open up in the UK. J E A L O U S.

Hope you have a lovely time in Estonia!
I spend every day at work trying to fight a Topshop splurge urge. It's very stressful! At least you are a safe distance away. Though maybe too safe, I suppose!
