Where the heck did October go?! This has been the quickest month ever and November is set to go even faster! Going from being a student to working full time is drastically different, and blogging and shopping has a totally different purpose. When I was a student I bought things that I only could end up wearing to a few lectures a week and now at work I can get wear out of 5 cool outfits a week - but then again, only the people at the office see! As a student, the weekends dragged out and every evening was free unless it was party time, but now I'm living for the weekend! Every week night flies by. It's different! However, now I'm living as 'myself' rather than being a 'student' so I've started to wear exactly whatever I fancy again and have a bit more freedom to do nice things on days off!
Anyway, here's how my October goals went... it ain't good!
October's Goals Revisited:
1. Cook a large variety of things - Hmmm I didn't end up cooking much in October but I ate at home more and took my lunch to work most days!
2. Blog more! - I hardly had chance to blog at all!
3. Make more effort with outfits and buy key things - I'm well into the swing of autumn and am really happy with the things I bought this month! Ankle boots, jumpers and leather skirts.
4. Sort my hair out - I didn't get my keratin treatment done yet as I've got the Charles Worthington 40 Day Straight treatment on right now! I'll keep you posted how it goes.
5. Use my days off! - I had some looovely days off and Katy Perry was AMAZING! And I took part in the Bristol Zombie Walk haha! Thousands of people took to the city centre chanting 'braaaains' much to the confusion of shoppers! I was embarrassed but went for the laugh; I love dressing up!

November Goals:
1. Actually cook! - Today I did the first marginally big food shop since I've moved to Bristol! Seriously! I've just been getting bits and bobs since I moved as I didn't want to buy loads and waste it, but it always left me short and eating out. I'll definitely cook more this month, promise! I got these goodies from Holland and Barrett yesterday too.

2. Blog more - definitely!
3. De-stress - How do you de-stress and wind down? I spend all day on a computer so spending alllll night on the laptop isn't what it used to be! I'm going to Zumba at the gym every week and might start reading again. I still like young fiction about teenage girls - do you have any recommendations maybe? I haven't found an adult chic lit book that I like! Going out to eat and the cinema is also a nice night away from home but it's a bit on the expensive side.
4. Buy no clothes/makeup - On a bit of a spending ban at the moment to try and shift some student debt - no clothes! No makeup! Maybe a few little H&M things here and there but nooo big purchases! Also I just got tickets to see The Saturdays in Cardiff for a night out with my sister woop! That will be my big purchase of this month.
5. Eat breakfast! Every day.

Yaaaaaaaaaay Sats!! I'll be there in spirit!
I've never been very goal oriented but lately I've really been seeing how important they are (long and short term). And I think sharing your monthly goals is an awesome way to stay on track. I think the cooking one will take some getting used to, but you can do it! Looks like you stocked up on some yummy stuff :)

Haha, yep going from a student to working full time is odd! Though I'm only waitressing right now so I don't get to dress like 'me' anymore. I only wear oversized pull-overs and trousers so my style is basically a variation of 3 outfits as I don't have to drive to dress nicely anymore :(

I love your zombie outfit! You are crazy good at doing the zombie eyes!

For eating out, always look for vouchers! That's how I afford it!

That almond butter looks intriguing! Oh you went on the Zombie walk? A friend of mine is from Bristol and she took part in a Zombie game earlier in the year, like a giant version of tag. I can't remember what it was called but it was meant to be a lot of fun (but also a bit scary haha). Good luck with your spending ban!!
Also yess, go to Island Bar when you can! It's so chilled in there but the cocktails are a pricey at £5 each...but worth going in for at least one!

I just finished reading John Green's "Paper Towns" and it was really amazing! First couldn't-put-down book I've read in a while. Highly recommend it, plus it's young-adult fiction so it's a quick read and there's a teenage girl right at the center of it all.

I work at my computer all day and evening so I make sure that I get excercise classes a few times a week to destress and get rid of the aches from sitting in the same position all day. I also like to go for a run and browse the charity shops when I have time- ideal for when you don't have much money for clothes!

Do you read Sarra Manning? She does teen fiction but also has some adult chick lit books. There's one called Unsticky which is amazing and about a girl working in fashion, reckon you'd love it :)

i know your on a spending band BUT... while shopping in bristol's primark I found a little beauty. I don't shop in there often as I'am from Bath and tend to steer towards Hnm and topshop. While shopping there on tuesday I found a jumper in the casual/vest top/jumpers. It's available in either minty green or camel and it had the cutest little leather peterpan colour detail. Its sweatshirt material so very hardwearing and only £8 i couldnt believe there was still so many sizes available but working as a visual in retail I did notice that it was side fancy if it was front facing it probably would have been all snapped up!!! check it out :) and I hope you enjoying bristol trying heading to Bath sometime its a beautiful city and has really quirky boutiques and british pubs :) x

I recently read and liked The Luxe and the other books in the series by Ann Godbersen. They're set in 1899 New York and have a lot of romance and dresses and things but are so much better and smarter than that makes them sound - they're inspired by Edith Wharton's Gilded Age novels. She is quality too if you fancy something a bit more literary.

Really enjoyed this post...october did fly by so fast! It's encouraging to hear that you're enjoying being a graduate and adapting to the difference, although I'm scared I'm really looking forward to enjoying days off instead of contantly worrying about deadlines!

It's soooo funny, your November goals remind me of my goals which I don't really put on paper though ;)
No clothes and having breakfast, sounds like a plan :)
My trick for the breakfast is grabbing a banana when I'm doing my make up in the mornings. I try to be a multi-tasker. And banana for breakfast is always better than nothing :)

I'm still a student but soon those lazy days will be over and I have to face real life. It's good to hear about what you experience and see what your plans are. I might try to do the 5-goals in the next months as well, it keeps you healthy and is a great way to improve the quality of life. Besides all the literature for studying I also managed to read some chick lit in the past week. I recommend "Johnny be good" by Paige Torn. It's about a PA that works for a famous artist and of course how she falls for her boss etc., you know what I mean. Otherwise I really like the Sisterhood series by Ann Brashares but I'm sure that you already read that.
